"If I had unlimited resources and funds, I would fly to Guatemala and help to rebuild the villages in Yalu. I recently went on a mission trip there where I helped to build beds, stoves, and water filters."
Luisa & Erik
Winter Haven, Florida
Today I wanted to share some sneak peeks from Erik & Luisa's wedding day on Saturday! These two are just so wonderful and I feel so blessed they chose me to capture and share this day with them! The wedding took place at Erik's brothers home in Winter Haven, Fl. They had a small backyard wedding with their closest family and friends and it could not have been more beautiful!
Erik & Luisa chose to do a first look, so my second shooter Katie and I guided them out onto the plantation style driveway and set them up for the big reveal :) I love Erik's face in these photos, he just looks like he won the lottery! SO sweet!
UGH!! Are they not the cutest things you've ever seen? Now time to head to the ceremony!
Luisa & Erik chose to get married in the backyard of a beautiful home in Winter Haven, Florida that belongs to Erik's brother! I love how family orientated the entire day was.
Their ring bearer Gracie!!
It was just a tad windy, so we had to move inside to complete the lighting of the Unity Candle! What a beautiful moment surrounded by friends and family.
These are just some highlights from the day, and some of my favorite photos we captured! I am so thankful Erik and Luisa trusted me to capture their day, I can't wait to share all their images with them!
I hope everyone's week is going SUPER amazing!! Spread kindness, and light and I will see you soon :) Thank you for stopping by the blog!
The Goodman Family
Edward Medard State Park
Oh my goodness you guys, this session makes my heart so happy!!! And I can't wait for their sweet baby girls newborn session in just a couple of weeks! I just talked to Amber today, and it reminded me that I really wanted to blog their session because it went so beautifully, and I just love their little family!
For our session together, we chose to go on an "adventure" in Edward Medard Park, one of my favorite places for sessions. We strolled barefoot underneath the canopy of southern oaks, with the perfect amount of sunshine leaking through the leaves. It was magical.
We got all of our shots with the kiddos first, because they were itching to run around the park and play! But some of the shots with just Amber and Leroy turned out to be my favorites!
I LOVE that they chose to go barefoot, I actually hate shoes. I have since I was little, and probably always will. So when my clients want to go barefoot, I may or may not just like them that much more... hehe.
Amber's maternity session included her beautiful family, and I am so happy it did. Thank you so much to the Godman family for selecting me to be your photographer! I can't wait to meet your precious little girl in a few short weeks!!
Tessa & Ryleigh
Mommy & Me Mini Session
Navarre Beach, Fl.
Gosh I just LOVED this mommy and me mini session from this summer! Tessa won my instagram 1K giveaway and won a free mini session, and I am so glad she did! We decided to do a little mini session of her and her daughter Ryliegh.
Tessa and I actually went to middle school together, and it was so great to get to meet her daughter in person and capture these photos of them.
I love beach sessions, especially when I am home on vacation! Navarre beach is definitely one of the best beaches in all of Florida, and a photographers dream. This mommy and me mini session quickly turned into one of my favorites!
If you know of any mommas who would love a session with her babies, please share this post with them! I would love to do more sessions like this in the future, there's something so wonderful about capturing the love between momma's and their babies.
Have a GREAT day!
One of my FAVORITE styled sessions I have ever done! This whole shoot came together in about three days, but I had been wanting to shoot at Weeki Wachee for months! As soon as I got a date from my model, I ordered this lace dress on Amazon prime and it was here Wednesday night, I dyed it that night and we left for our shoot the next morning! The bouquet I made from some leftover eucalyptus and some plants surrounding our location, I brought some scissors and put something together.
For the first half of this little styled session, we stuck around the Florida foliage. Elizabeth has worked in the bridal industry for years, so of course we had to add a few bridal hints here and there.
My favorite part of this session was getting into the springs. I couldn't WAIT for the water part of our session, it was cold but so so worth it.
These are some of the most beautiful natural springs I have ever seen! Florida is full of beautiful freshwater springs and I just love shooting them. I hope I have more couples and seniors who would love to have their pictures done somewhere like this!
I just love how the colors work together, and ELizabeth could not have been a more perfect model for this shoot. The hair and makeup artist also did an incredible job. I couldn't believe how quickly and effortlessly this shoot seemed to come together!
Creating just to create is always so fun. I love my clients, but getting to execute ideas that are all mine just because I want too... it's one of my favorite perks of this job :) I hope you guys enjoyed this session, and maybe grabbed some inspiration along the way.
Go create, just because you can.
